Steffes
Emissions Reduction Unit
The Steffes ERU is a pressure management and gas recovery system designed to stabilize pressure, capture usable gas, and reduce flaring, keeping production consistent as conditions change.

On this page:

The ERU helps operators protect production, reduce emissions, and capture value that would otherwise be lost. By drawing gas from constrained points throughout the facility, from wellhead to downstream processing, the gas can be sent directly to sales, recycled into separation equipment, or repurposed for fuel gas. With an integrated control system and variable speed operation, the ERU maintains stable pressure and flow, improving efficiency and reducing production constraints.
The ERU was originally developed in North Dakota to eliminate routine flaring on constrained well sites.
Oil and gas operations are rarely steady. Production systems do not operate at ideal pressure balance across the life of a well. The ERU is designed to restore balance when changing conditions reduce performance.
The ERU is ready for deployment. Built for year-round operation in any weather condition, it’s the ideal solution for demanding oil and gas environments.
